HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Thanksgiving Day, the holiday that I most dread. Don't get me wrong, I love it because it's the official start of Christmas and of course I love being with my family. I'm just not a fan of Mr. Turkey, that's why. I would rather eat at Subway or Chili's Bar & Grill or yummy Applebee's. I ate around 3 in the afternoon or so at my grandparent's house (GRANDMA = BEST CHEF IN THE WORLD). I was literally HUN-GRY! My first taste of that turkey was magnificent. Because I don't eat arroz con gandules (translation: rice with pigeon peas) nor potato salad nor dulce de batata (translation: sweet potatoes), my grandma usually cooks an additional side for me to eat with my turkey. She usually cooks french fries (YES, french fries on Thanksgiving) or tostones. This year she cooked mofongo for me. Yum-o! One of the very few Puerto Rican dishes that I enjoy.

Family
A few of my grandma's relatives came to celebrate with us. Like her sister, nephews and their kids. While avoiding annoying conversations (future plans or work related) (*rolls eyes*), I as usual, began taking pictures of the Christmas tree, the food, dessert and an annual family photo. Me not included, boo!

Thanksgiving-ish/Christmas cupcakes
My
aunt made those scrumptious cupcakes for dessert. They were delicious. I was relieved when I saw them. I was like,
"Yay! No need for my emergency chocolate bar anymore!" Sadly,
I don't eat
pumpkin pie anymore. Yeah... THAT picky!

My face says it all
Even though there was blah moment after dinner, I actually had a good time. Spent time with relatives, laughed, took some cute pictures and ate yummy food & dessert.
Even though I'm not a fan of this holiday, I always give my thanks.
I am thankful for my grandparents...
Besides being lovable, giving, awesome, always-there grandparents, they have been a second mom and dad to my sister and I.
I am thankful for my sister...
She has been with me through it all. She is my bestfriend, my partner in crime and my personal psychologist.
I'm also thankful for my job. I am thankful for my students! What would I do without my kiddos? I'm forever thankful for each and every one of them. Whether it'd be past and present students.
Anyway, here are more shots of my Thanksgiving Day. I hope all of you had a great one!

One thing that is most exciting when Thanksgiving is over is the arrival of BLACK FRIDAY! I'll blog about my first experience ever and will upload the goodies that I got on sale. Serious pandamonium this year!
