Cute as a button

One of my favorite shades of pink. My new pearls which were $1.00 each and my gray cardigan which was on sale for $19.00 at JCPenney. Great combo!

Yoshi

On Friday "Yoshi's New Island" was released so I obviously woke up early and headed to my local GameStop and purchased it. I'm a huge fan of the Mario franchise so I was excited about this one. I bought the last Yoshi game (pre-owned) and I completely disliked it. I think it was because it was boring and I'm not used to that old Nintendo DS quality.

So far I have to say the game is really fun.

Birthday family fun

This Saturday was all about celebration. Family, friends, food, cake and music filled her house. It was my grandmother's sister's birthday (my mom's aunt and godmother). The big 95Wow! Have you ever wondered if you'll get to that age? I have. I've always wondered how I'll look like, feel and where I'll be. Her birthday was this past February but they decided to celebrate it a week after.

Grandma made the food and my aunt made the birthday cake. Grandma told us to bring our camera (Nikon D5000) because as she said, it takes better photos (lol). We snapped a ton so she would be happy.

Three of her siblings came to celebrate it with her. One couldn't make it because they left her at her house. These are the 3 siblings left of the family including the one that didn't attend. They are 18 siblings in total. Yes, eighteen. Only 4 of them are left. My grandma is the baby of the bunch.

Here a couple of my favorites that my sister and I snapped.

Happy Birthday!

Homemade cake made by my aunt.

Make a wish!

One of her lovely friends surprised with her with a song.

Great grandson with the birthday girl. A new friend was made.

Party people!

Mom got the birthday girl these gorgeous flowers.

Pretty munchkins

Krispy Kreme

Sprinkles

They have arrived to Puerto Rico. Yes, I finally went out and bought them. I was dying to try them. I got myself these completely covered with sprinkles. I got my mom the mixed batch that included chocolate glazed, original glazed, powdered and sprinkled covered like the one's here posted. Sadly, I forget to snap a picture of them. After I got them, I couldn't stop staring at how beautiful and colorful they looked. So of course, SNAP!

Now, the taste. I'm not a HUGE fan of Krispy Kreme like most Puerto Ricans are. I'm not kidding, people here  are obsessed with them. I absolutely don't understand why. They are way too sweet for me. I on the other hand, am a Dunkin' Donuts kind of girl. So like I was saying... Taste. They are pretty good. But like I said, TOO sweet for my taste buds. I am a HUGE fan of their nutella donut. Yes people, nutella. I believe this donut is only available here in Puerto Rico. On the contrary, my mom and sister enjoyed these lil' munchkins. Especially mom.

If you are the kind of person who loves extremely sweet goodies, go for them!

Spring/ Easter nails

Decided to go ahead of time and post my current nails of the week. March is here and spring is soon to be upon us. This season means pastel colors for me. They are my favorite so this is what I ended up with for the start of March.

Sunday fun day

This past Sunday we had the chance to go to "El Mercado Urbano" at Ventana del Mar in Condado. Since reading about in the newspapers years ago, I always wanted to attend one. This activity is celebrated every first Sunday of a new month.

Here you can find fresh fruits, desserts, pastries, local artisans, books, jugos naturales and of course, food. I never expected artisans. From handmade jewelry, to handmade dolls. Music, locals, tourists, fresh air and an ocean view. All in all, I enjoyed it and I hope to attend the next one in April.

Here are a few snaps that I took.

Saturday...

Here's a little recap of what I did on Saturday.

After shopping and heading to Grandma's house, we ate at Longhorn's Steakhouse. We hadn't been in months so we changed up our routine eats. I, as usual, got the yummy chicken tenders with french fries and honey mustard. Before my main plate, I gobbled down a delicious caesar salad. It was absolutely delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it. Not anything out of the ordinary because everyone knows how a Caesar salad looks like.

I think you can see a smidge of the salad (lol).

Mom had the Firecracker Chicken Wraps. The plate looked so colorful that I had to snap a pic.

After that, I obviously had to eat dessert. A meal isn't complete without DESSERT. I always crave chocolate 24/7. I had the Ultimate Brownie Sundae. Succulent! That is all. It's chocolate, what do you expect?!

Here are some scrumptious looking chocolate covered strawberries we saw at the mall. Yum!

Hope you guys' weekend was great!
